SIA is a proud sponsor of the ISC Expos, the world’s largest security product trade shows and conferences.
By supporting these events, we ensure that members have access to top-level buyers and influencers, as well as to valuable educational sessions from industry subject matter experts
The 2017 edition of ISC West continued a surge in extraordinary growth for the trade show at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas on April 4-7. ISC West attendance grew by 3 percent over 2016. The ISC West exhibition floor hosted more than 30,000 industry professionals and offered attendees the opportunity to learn about, test and discuss cutting-edge products and technologies from roughly 1,000 exhibiting companies and brands.
New in 2017, ISC West took to the air introducing the first ever Unmanned Security Expo @ ISC West (USE). Unmanned Security Expo quickly became the hottest area on the Show Floor as energy buzzed around Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Ground Robotics & Vehicles (UGVs) and the various software and applications that support (and detect) them. With 30 leading companies exhibiting, participants got a first-hand look at the future of security. Creating a totally immersive experience, Unmanned Security Expo also included free educational sessions in a Theater on the Show Floor, complete with a fly-net that allowed UAVs and ground robots to do live demos.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the exhibit hall, Connected Security Expo @ ISC West (CSE) focused on building a holistic security strategy for the connected enterprise and included vendors that bridge the gap between physical and information security to mitigate new and emerging cyber threats. CSE also featured two dedicated tracks of education as a part of the SIA Education@ISC conference program. The area attracted a bevy of new attendees including the CIO of the US Navy, Google, Facebook and many more high-profile end-users.
ISC West, in conjunction with SIA Education@ISC, expanded educational offerings in 2017 to include 75+ sessions, while ISC also produced the free Unmanned Security Expo sessions and Vendor Solution sessions located both on and off the show floor. Philip A. Celestini, Section Chief of the FBI Cyber Security Division, delivered the conference keynote address.
On April 4, hundreds of SIA members and guests launched ISC West at the SIA Market Leaders Reception, socializing and networking with customers and industry partners, at Breathe Pool Ultra Lounge, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas.

In October, Securing New Ground® (SNGTM) drew top executives for another successful C-suite strategy conference. Held Oct. 26-27 at the Edison Ballroom in New York City, SNG brought together the C-Suite of manufacturers, integrators and service providers as well as top security practitioners to exchange vital business intelligence.
For SNG attendees and SIA members, the association produced “Security Megatrends: The 2018 Vision for the Security Industry,” a 16-page report that serves as a companion resource to the SNG conference. The report examined trends including the assessment of Big Data, transformation of the channel, and the evolution of risk management. The report distilled top ideas and forecasts presented at SNG into high-level executive takeaways for strategic planning while also highlighting independent resources for further study.
On Nov. 15-16, SIA sponsored ISC East 2017 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.
